Installation note for Windows
Should you receive a warning during installation please click on “More info” und anschließend auf “trotzdem Ausführen”. Anschließen installieren Sie wie gewohnt.
Which Mac version do I need?
Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If the “Chip” line shows an M1, M2, M3 or M4, download the Apple Silicon version 2.0. If it shows Intel, download version 1.8.1 – the 2.0 build is compiled for Apple Silicon and will not start on Intel Macs.
New in 2.0: SEAMAN PRO now runs natively on Apple Silicon instead of going through Rosetta translation, which makes it noticeably faster to launch and redraw. The app is signed by us and notarised by Apple, so a single click on “Open” is all it takes on first launch. Requires macOS 11 Big Sur or later. Feature set is identical to 1.8.1.
Installation note for Mac
For version 2.0 simply open the dmg file and drag the SEAMANPRO icon into your Applications folder. An existing licence and your settings are carried over. The note below applies to the older 1.8.1 build, which is not notarised.
Wenn bei der Installation auf dem Mac die Meldung “nicht verifizierter Entwickler” erscheint machen klicken Sie zunächst ok. Öffnen Sie den Installer nun durch klicken der rechten Maustaste auf das Symbol (oder gedrückt halten “ctrl” plus antippen via Touchpad). Klicken Sie im danach erscheinenden Kontextmenü auf Öffnen. Es erscheint wieder eine Meldung: “Möchten Sie es wirklich öffnen?” Klicken Sie auf öffnen und das Installationsprogramm startet wie gewohnt.
Per your request we gladly also provide a 32bit version. Please be advised that it is a BETA Version though that is not tested in all its details – so we ca not guarantee all functionalities.
Installation note for Update
In order to update to the newest version simply install the demo version – an existing licence as well as all you settings are automatically transferred.
On windows PCs the old version is replaced automatically. In very few cases this can result in SEAMAN PRO not starting at all. In this case please find your program folder and delete the folder “SEAMANPRO”, and find your user folder Users > your user > WetterWelt > SeamanPro > delete all files including “.log” in the name. Afterwards reinstall SEAMAN PRO. It should start after installation is completed (your licence and all settings will not be affected!)
In all scenarios you settings and licence data will not be affected / deleted / overwritten!
